Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluations

Our comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations are designed to identify the specific strengths and needs that are influencing a child’s academic, social, and/or emotional functioning.  An initial meeting with a psychologist will help you determine the content of your evaluation relative to your referral questions, previous testing, and child’s age.  Evaluations may include an assessment of cognitive ability (IQ), academic skills, language, visual perception, fine motor skills, processing speed, memory, executive functioning, and social/emotional/behavioral functioning.  School disability categories and psychological diagnoses are made when indicated.  A final meeting with parents and the student (when appropriate) and a comprehensive written report with recommendations are provided.
