Catherine S. Flaherty, PhD Inc. is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. She completed her predoctoral training at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance and her postdoctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental and autism spectrum disorders at Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Flaherty has published and presented nationally on child and adolescent development.
With a theoretical background rooted in the principles of developmental psychology, Dr. Flaherty provides psychotherapy and testing to children, adolescents, and emerging adults with complex cognitive, learning, and emotional needs. Drawing upon developmental, cognitive behavioral, and family systems theories, Dr. Flaherty treats numerous disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and mood disorders. Clients and families can expect Dr. Flaherty to be engaged, curious, and affirming.
Dr. Flaherty also conducts comprehensive testing evaluations of children, adolescents, and adults. Her expertise is in the areas of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, neurodevelopmental differences, and learning concerns. She works closely with families and school personnel to develop the best educational plan for each client.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Flaherty is currently offering telehealth sessions.
